Virtual tip jar for school tours

$1.00

Give the gift of farm experience!

As you have likely read, Wander’s Tiny Farm is an educational farm just outside of Saskatoon. We welcome people all year round to visit our farm to learn something about Canadian farms and to do a variety of family friendly activities.

We are very passionate about hosting field trips for schools. There are more than 100 elementary schools situated within 1 hour of our farm. In 2023 we welcomed more than 3000 elementary school students, teachers, and chaperones onto our farm.

We have worked hard to create a farm that is safe for children to explore. They can interact and feed real farm animals like cattle, sheep, goats, chickens, geese, rabbits, and pigs. There is a TX36 Combine Harvester and a FarmAll tractor they can sit on and learn about. Through the many “did you know?” signs placed across the farm children will learn about a variety of topics related to Canadian Farms. There also is a 100% safe firearm safety display where children can learn (1) what to do when they come across a firearm and (2) how to safely handle a firearm. Plus they get to do lots of other fun farm related games and activities.

We would love it if the experience of a farm visit is available to all kids in our area, that is why we keep the price for school tours low at $5.50+ tax per person. Unfortunately, not all schools and parents can afford such a trip, especially with the added cost of bus rental. That is why we have decided to setup this ‘virtual tip jar’. The funds collected via this tip jar (+ the physical tip jar in our farm store) will be used to supplement school trips for those schools lacking funds to come visit us.

Information for teachers on how to apply for this supplemental funding will be posted on the website shortly.

The minimum donation is set at $1, by adjusting the number of ‘items’ you would like buy you can adjust how much you would like to donate. For example, if you would like to donate $25 - fill in the number 25 for the number of items to buy.
